Quilting and sewing have been passions of mine from a young age. My mom is a quilter and she shared both her love of all things quilting, as well as her sewing room, with me throughout my childhood. Pictured to the right is my first quilt from when I was about 9 or 10, featuring a whole lot of dolphin fabric, ha!

In my early 20's, I was living on my own and no longer had easy access to my mom's rulers, cutting mats, and the many other supplies that traditional quilting requires. I started to wonder if I could find a way to quilt with just the simple supplies I had on hand.

This planted the seeds in my mind for Carefree Quilting. I designed quilts that were digitally printed on fabric, and using a folding technique could be turned into quilts that looked perfectly pieced. NO cutting with a rotary cutter was required, which was one of my favorite parts because that has always been my least favorite parts of quilting. I could sew beautiful quilts in my small apartment without a dedicated sewing space, and suddenly quilting became a lot more fun and much less stressful.

The Carefree Quilts I design for Blue Sky Quilt Design are all about celebrating creativity and beauty, while also innovating and using technology to make quilting less complicated. I think of it as getting all the fun parts of quilting without needing to go through the sometimes terrible parts (like way too much time spent cutting out fabric or any kind of quilt math).

In my non-quilting time, I love painting, embroidery, learning to use Procreate, graphic design, thrifting, interior design, and spending time with my family.
